From the community, for the community.

That's the whole idea behind Book My Talk, so I'll start there.

If you've ever invited a speaker to a meetup, you know how it usually goes. Someone shares a number, a WhatsApp thread starts, and three days later you're still trying to find a date that works for both of you. Speakers don't have it easier. Their dates live in one place and their bio in another, and their phone number ends up with people they've never met.

I'm a speaker myself, and after enough of those threads I got tired of the DMs. So I built the thing I wanted: one link a speaker can share, where an organizer picks a free date and sends a request. The speaker says yes or suggests another day, and phone numbers only change hands after a yes.

Most of what I know as an engineer, I picked up at meetups, from people who shared what they knew for free and on their own time. Book My Talk is my way of giving some of that time back.

It's free to use. If something feels off, or you wish it did something it doesn't, tell me. I read every note.
